Hosea 8:10-12

¹⁰ Because they have bargained with the nations,
    I will now gather them up.
They will soon begin to suffer
    under the weight of kings and princes.
¹¹ Although Ephraim built many altars for sin offerings,
    those altars became occasions for sin.
¹² I provided Ephraim with many written laws,
    but they regarded such laws as irrelevant.
